Workout
LP (Item 480308) Blue Note, 1962 — Condition: New Copy
Hank Mobley was a genius – as you'll hear on this incredible hardbop session from the 60s! He never made a bad album, and even when playing straight, he had a sheer raw power that made every moment rich with excitement! This session's got a great lineup that features Grant Green on guitar, Wynton Kelly on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Philly Joe Jones on drums – all working together in razor-sharp formation, with strong guidance from Mobley's tenor in the lead. Tracks are longish, with plenty of room for solos – and titles include "Smokin", "Greasin Easy", "Workout", and "Uh Huh". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
