Lonesome Sound & Mosquito (2 X 7" singles) (limited 2012 Record Store Day release)
7-inch (Item 606157) Thrill Jockey/Torsion, 1993 — Condition: New Copy
Tortoise's first singles – in a 2 X 7" set! "Lonesome Sound" is a great version of a Freakwater song about infant mortality, while "Reservoir" & "Sheets" are great examples of the Minutemen-influenced spare instrumental grooves that Tortoise did so well in the early days. Their second single, with "Mosquito" & "Gooseneck", shows the carefully layered sounds and distinctive studio production style that they were developing at the time. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
