CD (Item 613646) Peoples Potential, 1980s — Condition: New Copy

The first-ever full length album on the PPU label – and a doozy of a set! The record brings together rare work from Uku Kuut – recorded in both LA and Stockholm during the 80s, and virtually a blueprint for homegrown grooves at the time! Uku's got a heck of a collection of vintage keys and synths (ok, so back then, most of it wasn't vintage) – and he uses them to great effect on this batch of mostly-instrumental recordings, to come up with a sound that's part NYC street beats, part keyboard-heavy soundtrack grooves from the 80s! Material's pulled from rare cassette demos and forgotten master tapes – and titles include "Stevie Bossa", "Right Or Wrong", "Secret Dream", "Mayday", "Vision Of Estonia (demo)", "Real Love", "Soft Fashion", and "I Ask U Now". CD contains two bonus tracks not available on the LP!  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
