Nice batch of funky tracks that are supposed to be lost 70's sides from the obscure Hotpie & Candy label – but which are really new tracks cut with a classic sound (ala Desco Records' stuff). The origin of the material's hardly important, though, because the set grooves as well as most of our real compilations of rare funk – and the sound is authentic enough that it's had many funk fans fooled for years! Includes "Spooky Grinder" by The Woo Woo's, "Sticky Sticky Sock A Boo Boo" by The Mighty Continentals, "Hotpie's Popcorn Part 1" by The Poets Of Rhythm, "Funky Sex Machine" by Bo Baral, and lots lots more! (Out of print.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
