Massive rare work from Randy Muller – the funky soul powerhouse behind Brass Construction, BT Express, and Skyy – stepping out here with a host of fantastic cuts pulled from the vaults! As the title indicates, all the work here is of late 70s/early 80s vintage – a point when Muller was really riding high, not just as a member of groups, but also as a force in the studio – doing work for some of the hottest club and soul talents of the time, a few of whom are represented in this set! The package is nicely clustered into work by a handful of talents – making us feel that this first volume is definitely just the start of some greatness to come from Randy.
