The best Tony Allen project we've ever heard – largely because of the work by both artists involved! Hypnotic Brass Ensemble take on Allen's "Losun" – but they play the tune anew, as if it were one of their own – in an amazing style that features stepping rhythms from the horns, and soaring solos that glide beautifully over the top – definitely the best illustration of the HBE groove we could think of! Salah Ragab provides new versions of the tunes "Ole" and "One Tree" – again transforming them completely from their roots with Tony Allen, and making the new tunes sparkle with a jazzy, exotic sort of groove!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
