Casper's Groovy Ghost Show (parts 1, 2, & 3)
12-inch (Item 33838) AVI, 1980 — Condition: Used
Back in the day, Chicago never had much of a rap scene – which is why it was so easy for Chicago radio DJ Casper to score big with this little groover on the AVI label! The cut's actually not bad as sort of a funky clubby track – and Casper's rapping style reminds us a lot of Gary Byrd, another DJ who was cutting similar records at the time. There's kind of a nice jangly "good times" groove going on here, and the track's not a bad little party number! (White label promo. Cover has some wear, a cutout punch, and masking tape on the top and bottom seams. Labels have a bit of pen.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
