First, we'll confess, we've been in love with the Aqua Teens since first stumbling upon it, bleary-eyed, on latenight cable tee vee a bunch of years ago. OK, with that said, take with however many grains of salt our word that this is the absolute funniest comedy Christmas album we've heard in years! If you listen to only one novelty holiday release featuring a duet between Neko Case and a cartoon meatball (a song about boogers) let it be Have Yourself A Meaty Little Christmas -- a record we don't recommend listening to in your earbuds during a workday, if you want to get anything done, and if you don't want to annoy your co-workers with your idiotic giggling. It includes "Twas The Night Before Jesus" with a special appearance by original Aqua Teen theme song, uh, composer, Schoolly D, plus Shake, Meatwad, Frylock and Carl's ridiculous takes on "Feliz Navidad", "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "Silent Night", plus "Hark! The Herald's Angel Rap", "Frosty The Red-Nosed Snowman", "I Sure Hope I Don't Have To Beat Your A** This Christmas", our our favorite, "Santa Left A Booger In My Stocking", the lovely, twangy duo number with Meat and Neko. © 1996-2009, Dusty Groove America, Inc. | ||||||
