After Ahmad spent the 60s playing mellow acoustic piano, he turned into a great jazz artist on the Fender Rhodes – and this album is one of the best he ever made in that genre. The record has some great orchestrations by Richard Evans, and Ahmad's tone is very rich and full, with a great soul sound! The album features some great jazz funk covers – like a version of the classic break track "Misdemeanor", plus "Trouble Man", "Ghetto Child", and "Don't Misunderstand".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Verve, 1968. Very Good+
One of Johnny's best 60s albums for Verve – a hard-wailing small group session with a very soulful feel! The group's a quintet with some very strong players – including a young Jimmy Ponder on organ, plus Billy Gardner on organ, Freddie Waits on drums, and Ron Carter on bass. Johnny ... CTI, 1979. Near Mint- Gatefold
An obscure late 70s set from CTI – and a near-lost chapter in the career of both artists in the title! ABC, Late 50s. Very Good+
A great overview of 4 key modern guitar players of the 50s – Jimmy Raney, Dick Garcia, Joe Puma, and Chuck Wayne – all presented here in tracks that may well be exclusive to this release. (We know that Raney recorded an album or two for ABC, but haven't seen any from Wayne, Puma, or ... LP, Vinyl record album

Jive, 1987. Near Mint-
Steady B's second major label album, but still in the mid 80s Pop Art style, proving you don't need much more than two turntables, a drum machine and a mic to make good hip hop. Okay, maybe some fly Cazals and Fila track suit. 12 tracks in all, including "The Hilltop", "Don't ... LP, Vinyl record album
