Sweet keyboard genius from the legendary Manfredo Fest – an early 70s effort that's got a really wonderful groove! The style here is a bit like some of the best CTI recordings during their early years with A&M – kind of an update of 60s bossa that features full, warm, jazzy orchestrations behind Manfredo's piano – giving him support with this rich blend of reeds and trombones, as the acoustic keys soar wonderfully over the top with amazing dexterity! The setting's every bit as great as the early Jobim records for CTI – and the recording quality equally wonderful too, thanks to producer Sonny Burke. Titles include "Bossa Rock Blues #1", "Amanda", "Madalena", "Hello Forever", and "Sleepy Shores".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Fontana, 1968. Very Good+
A beautiful blend of bossa and jazz – one of the few American albums cut by Luiz Henrique, and a set that features him singing in English throughout! Pablo, 1979. Very Good+
Jazzy Brazilian drummer Paulinho Da Costa lays down a set of tight fusion cuts recorded in the U.S., along with folks like Larry Carlton, James Gadson, and Philip Bailey. There's vocals on about half the tracks, and the sound is sort of LA studio fusion from the 70's, with a nice bit of Brazil ... LP, Vinyl record album
