Far Out BrazilVarious
CD (Item 447663) Far Out (UK), 2007 — Condition: New Copy
A lovely and low-priced dip into the amazing catalog of the Far Out label – and a set that offers the CD debut of a fair number of vinyl-only singles! For over a decade, Far Out's been winning our hearts (and our ears) with their beautiful reinterpretations of older Brazilian modes – styles that start in bossa and run up through 70s fusion and funk – all newly recorded with lots of fresh new touches, including a fair bit of influence from the London scene that first spawned the label. The CD's nicely divided in half to showcase both sides of the label's output – with one half of straighter bossa and jazz-based material, and a second half that features remixes that are aimed much more at the contemporary dancefloor! Titles include "Luizao" by Antonio Adolfo, "Folia No Samba" by Os Ipanemas, "Bis (Eddy Meets Yannah remix)" by Arthur Verocai, "Amazon Adventure (Jazzanova rmx)" by Azymuth, "Cade Voce (Max Cole & Beatnik rmx)" by Sabrina Malheiros, "Afro Black (Tony Allen rmx)" by Grupo Batuque, "A Terra De Ninguem (Nicola Conte rmx)" by Sabrina Malheiros, "GB" by Tutty Moreno with Joyce, "Have You Ever" by Nina Miranda & Chris Franck present Zeep, and "Sabe Quem" by Clara Moreno with Joyce. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
