Although Lorraine Feather's been around for years, the singer's really come into her own in recent years – stretching out in ways that really showcase not only her amazing vocal range, but also her great ear for writing a tune! Most of the tracks here are originals, often written with really creative changes that almost take us back to that creative explosion of female jazz vocals back in the 70s – but done with a slightly more straight ahead groove overall – one that sometimes almost has a singer-songwriter quality too, but with a nice dose of wit as well.
