The deep classic Harder Shade Of Black set from producer Leonard Chin – first released in 1974 – with performances by the Santic All All Stars, Horace Andy, Gregory Isaacs, Augustus Pablo and more – with numbers ranging fro sweetly soulful vocal numbers to heavy instrumentals, dubs and rhythms that the legendary status! Chin is among the lesser known producers, to the mainstream roots canon anyway, but he cut tracks with some of the best reggae singers of all time – some of which are on this set, and it features material that's been sought after and out of print for years! It includes restored original cover art for the first time since the original 70s release, and the CD includes a booklet with Chin interviews, a nice set of notes and photos and more tracks than ever before.
