LP (Item 602727) Andrew's Music, 1973 — Condition: New Copy

A split LP – featuring one side of material recorded live in Bucharest, and another live in the studio, back home in Washington, DC – all great work by the legendary Andrew White! The Bucharest side features one long, relatively free track – white on tenor, blowing in duet with Bill McCullough on drums. The track has an almost FMP-like approach, recorded with ESP-like fidelity – and it's followed up by the delightful one minute tune "My Little Shy Sparrow", which features white on piano and oboe. The studio side has another long track – "Good Luck Next – Theme Grand" – which features White on tenor, alto, piano, and bass, overdubbed with drums by Eric Gravatt. The last track on the set is a beautiful reading of Miles Davis' "Circle", played on solo piano. (Original pressing!)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
