A damn great document of the blues psych power of Big Brother & The Holding Company – a previously unreleased live set culled from the archive of legendary soundman Owsley "Bear" Stanley – and a fitting testament to his legacy, too! We wouldn't dream to assigning anything resembling a fault to size of Janis's shadow – but we really do think that the greatness of this band tends to be lost in it. We're thinking that a prime live recording such is this is as fine a point to reassess them, and this is great one!
