A great look at the heavy grooves of The New Mastersounds – one of the hardest working combos in the deep funk underground – with a resume of great music that stretches back for over a decade! The set brings together album cuts, rare singles, and a few surprising numbers as well – making for a really great introduction to the group's work if you've never heard them before – or a nice hole-filler for all the best bits you might be missing from your NMS collection! As always, there's loads of tight guitar from Eddie Roberts, heavy Hammond from Bob Birch, and massive rhythms from Peter Shand on bass and Simon Allen on drums.
