Trance (Japanese pressing)
CD (Item 601367) ECM (Japan), 1975 — Condition: New Copy
Trance. The title's a great one, as Kuhn spins out some long-spiralling tracks that really have a compellingly rhythmic groove. The main focus here is on his keyboards – both electric and acoustic piano – and he's working with well matched players that include Steve Swallow on electric bass, Jack DeJohnette on drums, and Sue Evans on percussion. The best tunes are freewheeling, but inside – and titles include his brilliant "Something Everywhere", later made into a great vocal track, plus the cuts "The Young Blade", "Silver", "Trance", and "A Change Of Face".
