It's Broken
LP (Item 613400) Trunk (UK), 1980 — Condition: New Copy
A very odd bit of homegrown work from the almost never-heard Bob Chance – a set rescued from private press obscurity by the efforts of Jonny Trunk, and finally brought out to a larger global audience! Bob's got a sound that's exactly what you might guess from the cover – honest and upfront, cheap enough to warrant only a black and white image, yet surprisingly compelling once you dig into the music – especially as things move along! All tracks are originals, penned in a mix of heartfelt affection, and attempts at clever scene-setting – and in addition to some great sing-songy moments, there's also a few numbers that throw in some keyboard-heavy disco – including a nine minute jam on the title track! There's a nice jazzy number called "Colors" – and other tracks include "Brown Skinned Girl", "It's Broken", "Honey Lips", "Jungle Talk", and "I See Her". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
