Nice electric funk single from the 70's, and one that's got a very different sound than the General's raw late 60's work from Chicago! This one's got some nice wah wah keyboards, and a good choppy groove that's got this cool popping instrumental sound on the flip! Very nice – and one of his best of the 70s!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Down To Earth, Late 60s. Very Good-
Very nice funky stuff! This may be the best single ever by this lost Chicago funk artist. It's got a great hard groove, in a very James Brown way, and raw heavy lyrics in the best funky 45 tradition. 7-inch, Vinyl record

A crowning moment for both Steve Martin and the 70s novelty single – as this one was one of the last of that genre! Oddly, Martin chose to back the tune with some instrumental banjo work – perhaps to show that he was a "well rounded" kind of guy! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Chicago soul jazz at its finest – featuring the legendary group led by alto player Sonny Cox! "Hi Heel Sneakers" is a familiar tune – but done here without cliche, thanks to some great bubbling organ, and a searing alto bit from Sonny! "Dangerous Dan Express" ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
