Nice album of baroque soul from this Chicago diva. Recorded after her big hit "Tell Him", this one has her moving into a more sophisticated style, in which she sings a suite of songs by Dotti Wayne and Ray Rasch. Richard Evans did the arrangements, and the whole thing is a great relic of the kind of highbrow direction that some of the Chicago soul scene was taking at the time. Includes "Wild Is Love", "Hundreds & Thousands Of Guys", "Tell Her In The Morning", "Beggar For The Blues", "In Love Again" and "Stay With It". (Cover has some wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Baroquely beautiful work from the Stax soul master – one of Isaac Hayes' heaviest albums of the 70s – and a record so massive, they needed 2LPs to contain the whole thing! The record's a culmination of the rich, full style of soulful arranging that Hayes had pioneered in his early solo ... LP, Vinyl record album

Classic work from Fantastic Four – who are really hitting their stride vocally, moving into a whole new sound from their work in the late 60s. The groove is a mix of 70s harmony soul and early Westbound disco – and the longish tracks get quite involved, both vocally and arrangement-wise ... LP, Vinyl record album

Booker T's definitely getting a bit funky with this one – stepping off with the incredible title cut, a tune which really complicates the groove from the earlier years! The sound is still solid Memphis soul, with a raw instrumental vibe – but the grooves are even better than before, ... LP, Vinyl record album

Leon Haywood's best album from the 70s!
