CD (Item 603786) Clinck (Japan), 1977 — Condition: New Copy

Great vocals from Japanese singer Shun Sakai – a swinging late 70s session, and one done with a great sort of acoustic energy! There's less of the fusion touches you might expect for such a date from the time – and Sakai keeps things in a nicely old school mode, while just reaching for some occasional warmer touches at times. The combo is great, and features some smoking work on tenor and flute from the legendary Akira Miyazawa – on titles that include "Just You Just Me", "Day By Day", "Teach Me Tonight", "I Fall In Love Too Easily", "Just In Time", and "Someone To Watch Over Me".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
