CD (Item 479458) Prelude/Unidisc (Canada), 1983 — Condition: New Copy

Not the biggest name in 80s club, but a very groovy group that cut some massive singles for the Prelude label – featured here in their rare full length LP! Secret Weapon have a great way with a groove – tight, but never commercial – bumping along with a bit of jazz in the instrumentation, which warms things up nicely, in ways that are different from others in the 80s groove generation. The album features their big single "Must Be The Music" – which has a totally infectious groove riding a smooth bass pedal and chirping rhythm guitar, kind of along the same lines as "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life". The rest of the tracks have a similar 80s groove sound, and include "DJ Man", "Out Of Control", "Surrender" and "Difference Of Opinion". CD features 3 bonus mixes of "Must Be The Music".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
