Messed-up electronic rock from Trash Company – a group who really live up to their name with the noisy, grubby sounds in this set! The music is somewhere between dark post-punk work from the early 80s, and some of the lower-fi indie moments of the decade to follow – yet together, the tracks definitely have a really unique feel – almost as if Suicide recorded for K Records, or an aging Neu suddenly found themselves working in the Portland scene! Given the vintage of most of these cuts, and the overlooked locale in which they were recorded, the whole thing's a definite musical discovery – one with a feel that definitely lives up to the promise of our references here. Titles include "He's Only A Man", "She", "Little Black Bag", "Come To Me Softly", "No Regrets", "Electra Glide", "Ow", and "I'll Slide Away".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

The collected work of a mighty trippy group from the Indian scene – a psychedelic combo who worked in the 70s, but who had the same sort of edge you'd hear from the American and British scenes of the late 60s! An amazing set from Eduardo Mateo – easily one of the most enigmatic musicians to ever record on the Uruguay scene! Although once a member of some harder-edged rock acts in the 60s, Mateo is surprisingly warm and gentle on these tracks – slightly folksy at times, but also with echoes ... LP, Vinyl record album

Don't go looking for Raven in any histories of 70s rock – because this one and only set was recorded in 1976, but is issued here for the first time – quite a surprise, given the strength of the album! Very dark work from The Pretty Things – an even more complicated, heavier-sounding album than SF Sorrow! A heady power trio, with a sound that's a lot more heavy than you'd guess from the cover! These guys come across looking like they might be a soft rock harmony group, but instead they wail away beautifully with a pre-metal sort of sound – lots of full, fierce rhythms and fuzzed-up guitar ... Van Dyke Parks' masterpiece – and one of the hippest records to come out of LA in the 60s!
