Earle Hotel Tapes 1979 to 1993
LP (Item 646514) Steady Sounds/Peoples Potential, Late 70s/1980s/Early 90s — Condition: New Copy
Messed-up electronic rock from Trash Company – a group who really live up to their name with the noisy, grubby sounds in this set! The music is somewhere between dark post-punk work from the early 80s, and some of the lower-fi indie moments of the decade to follow – yet together, the tracks definitely have a really unique feel – almost as if Suicide recorded for K Records, or an aging Neu suddenly found themselves working in the Portland scene! Given the vintage of most of these cuts, and the overlooked locale in which they were recorded, the whole thing's a definite musical discovery – one with a feel that definitely lives up to the promise of our references here. Titles include "He's Only A Man", "She", "Little Black Bag", "Come To Me Softly", "No Regrets", "Electra Glide", "Ow", and "I'll Slide Away". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
