A pretty cool little Christmas record – one that really reminds us of some of the more tripped-out Holiday outings from the late 60s! Eban Schletter mixes up voices and electronics in a really heavenly blend – definitely the Cosmic Christmas promised by the title, with an eerie outer space sort of vibe – one that resonates through original tunes for the album, and some cool Christmas classics redone here in a very unusual way! Imagine an astronaut floating out in deep space, trying to tune in some sort of Holiday music from the ether, on the day when his ship's calendar reads December 25th – and you've got a good idea of the sound of this one. The vocals are often in chorus form, but processed to mix in with the electronics – and titles include "We Three Kings", "Christmas Time Is Here", "Carol Of The Bells", "Computers Part 3", "Send Christmas Into The Universe", "Auld Lang Syne", and "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear". © 1996-2010, Dusty Groove America, Inc. | |||||
