A rare soul single from France – but one that's sung in English! "Her Name Was Sue" is a really weird little number – slow-building soul, with Hammond underneath Cliff Wagner's odd-tuned vocals – all put together in a really blue-tinged sort of way! "Red Spots" is a bit more upbeat and pretty darn groovy –with some great effects on the guitar and organ that really make the track great – kind of tripped-out underneath Cliff's sweeter vocals in the lead. Funk Night, 2013. New Copy
A killer bit of slow funk from the great Rickey Calloway – done in this mellow-stepping way that's still mighty hard hitting – and topped with vocals that take us back to James Brown in his best early years! "Get It Right" comes across here in a fiercely funky part 4 – ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

Spacey 80s boogie-styled instro funk from Musca – the first single on the Soul Controller imprint! "Highlights" is highlighted by nicely paced funky beats and handclaps – which are mirrored by an uber-thick bass line and cosmic keyboards. Nice and spacey – and that ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
