Trying To Get To You
LP (Item 24135) Warner, 1978 — Condition: Used
It's years past his days with The Chi-Lites, and Eugene's trying to reinvent himself as a smooth modern soul solo act. Fortunately, he's got some hometown help from Tom Tom 84, who does a great job with the arrangements on this album – and sets them up just right to carry Record to places he didn't go with his former group. Fortunate, too, is Record's strength in writing – which hasn't diminished since the 60s, and here takes him into some nice sophisticated soul territory. Titles include "Time", "We Belong Together", "Come To My Party", "I'm So Glad", and "Share My Life". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
