CD (Item 31196) BBE (UK), 2000 -- Condition: New Copy

Fantastic dancefloor Latin tunes -- compiled by Kenny Dope's uncle, Hector Torres! Kenny says that Hector taught him most of what he knows about Latin music -- and you can bet that with a credential like that, the selection of cuts on the set far surpasses the standard compilation of Latin grooves! The groove here is prime mid 70s salsa -- and Torres does an excellent job of sorting through 70s albums that may get lost in the shuffle, but which include some very nice cuts that often get overlooked because the album itself isn't a total standout. Cuts include "Periquito Pin Pin" by Tommy Olivencia, "Algo Facil" by Papo Luca & Sonora Poncena, "Arinara" by Joe Cuba Sextet, "Tierra Colora" by Nestor Torres, "Canuto" by Gil Lopez & Sonny Bravo, "Que Se Vaya" by Bomba Camara, "Ella Esta En Otre" by Justo Betancourt, and "Corta El Bonche" by Tito Puente.  © 1996-2010, Dusty Groove America, Inc.
