That's Love

CD (Item 71597) WMOT/Unidisc, 1981 — Condition: New Copy

A great little album from Heaven & Earth – recorded after their big years on Mercury, but with Philly production that gives them a nice fresh sound! The production's a lot more in a modern soul vein than before – but the harmonies are top-shelf all the way, and seem to stretch out even more than on earlier albums, hitting ranges that are normally the province of indie soul recordings from the early 70s, instead of slicker ones from the early 80s. "That's Love" is a great soul number that reminds us of the building emotion of the group's classic "Guess Who's Back In Town" – and other good tracks include "I Really Love You", "You're A Blessing", and "Give Love One More Chance".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
