LP (Item 57811) Speed, Late 60s — Condition: New Copy
A great little album of boogaloos and hard Latin tracks – one of the few rare gems on the long-lost Speed label. The set features the work of the Orquesta Olivieri, led by trumpeter Herbie Olivieri, and featuring more trumpet, piano, and percussion, plus lead vocals by Angelo Jiminez and Felix Pipe Pagan. About half the album is straight boogaloo – as you'd guess by titles like "Don't Be Shy", "African Guajira", "Wabble With Boogaloo", and "A Swingin Combination" – and the rest is driving Latin, with that great late 60s small combo sound! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
