Psychedelic Sambai/Man Of Mine

7-inch (Item 422580) Record Kicks (Italy), 2006 — Condition: New Copy

Record Kicks does it again – coming up with 2 great grooves that sound especially nice on funky 45! "Psychedelic Sambai" is a wicked recent instrumental from Shawn Lee – one that vamps along with fuzzy guitar over bouncing beats – every bit as trippy as you might guess from the title, and with a bit of an Eastern funk influence as well! "Man Of Mine" is a great older soul track from Betty Wright – one that bubbles with warm touches in the rhythms, and a nice mix of keyboards and strings in the backing. The tune soars nicely without sounding too slick – and is a really great lesser-known number from the second chapter of Betty's years in Miami!  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
