A warm mellow groove from Bettye Swann – pulled from rare Atlantic Records sessions from the 70s, and a real overlooked chapter in Bettye's career! "I Want Sunday" moves along in a great midtempo mode – gently gliding on a slight wave of strings, but with plenty of room for Swann's vocals to crackle the tune's great lyrics! "Kiss My Love Goodbye" is a bit more upbeat – with some stone Philly production, and these tight, right-on lyrics from Bettye!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Early work from the great Joe Simon – working here with the group of Johnny Heartsman, in a style that's a lot jazzier than in later years! There's nothing shameful about this great little tune – a loping midtempo number that's got this wonderful lead vocal from Kenny Wells – supported by some sweet group harmonies on the chorus! Lainie Hill steps out on the flipside on the wonderful "Time Marches On" – a ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

One title, but actually two different songs – both of them great! Jack Costanzo's usually more Latin in his "Mr Bongo" mode – but this sweet track has a vamping groove and lots of twangy guitar alongside his cool percussion bits – very spare and spacey, with some cool ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
