LP (Item 598784) Kebrutney/One Kind Favor, 1976 — Condition: New Copy
A legendary set from the American underground of the 70s – the kind of record that seems to defy any association with other trends of the time – a truly individual artifact of expression, and one that's attained legendary status over the years! It's pretty hard to peg the style of Kenneth Higney – because although the songs here are a bit rootsy, they've also got a sort of sneering level of presentation – one that almost prefigures punk – even though the music is hardly that at all! Guitar is sometimes electric, sometimes acoustic – and rhythms are rough and jagged, usually moving midtempo so as not to get in the way of Higney's lyrics.
