Eraserhead – Original Soundtrack (plus bonus 7-inch single, artwork and download)
LP (Item 624119) Sacred Bones, 1976 — Condition: New Copy
A wonderful little album – a unique sound collage that was pretty surprising for the time, given the mainstream circulation it received on the heels of David Lynch's Eraserhead film! Side one of the record features some pretty abstract noise – almost prefacing some of the best 80s experiments from the UK scene, but mixed with odd snippets of music, including a bit of Fats Waller, which sort of humanizes the whole thing! Side 2 is even more unusual – and features the classic track "In Heaven", also known as the "Lady In The Radiator Song" – a lovely tune that's right up there with the lullaby in Rosemary's Baby. Great reissue package – even more beautiful than the original album! (Limited to 1500 copies. Includes a bonus 7-inch featuring "In Heaven" by Peter Ivers plus a recently unearthed Ivers recording from the original soundtrack audio tapes, plus 11X11 prints and code for digital download.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
