CD (Item 80638) Sanctuary (UK), 1970s -- Condition: New Copy

A massive tribute to one of the greatest 70s soundtrack composers -- England's mighty Roy Budd, the man responsible for Get Carter and some other incredible gems! This package is the first to really dip into Roy's classic 70s work -- and it does a great job of bringing together funky tunes that might have been passed up because they were hidden in otherwise mellower soundtracks. Snippets of dialogue are juxtaposed with some great grooves -- and a few of the tracks are presented in new remixes that give the set a fresh feel, even if you own some of the original Budd soundtracks. The overall sound is great -- a wonderful blend of jazzy riffs and cop show grooves -- and titles include "Hanky Panky", "Beauty & The Bass (edit)", "M17", "Black Is Beautiful", "The Girl In The Car", "Jazz Source (edit)", "Livin Should Be This Way", "Free Tarrant", "Hallucinations (edit)", "Diamond Fortress (Karminsky Experience rmx)", "Diamonds", "Jazz It Up (Mitchell & Dewbury mix)", "Get Carter Theme (Bobby Hughes Experience mix)", and "Mr Easy".  © 1996-2009, Dusty Groove America, Inc.
