Heobah (long, short, inst)
12-inch (Item 434529) Posse, 1983 — Condition: Used
A lesser-known number by Fonda Rae – but one that's still plenty darn nice, and proof that she was one of the best singers on the early 80s club scene! "Heobah" has a romping, thumping intro that's nice and spare – beats and a bit of lightly riffing guitar that really set the scene before Rae's vocals come into the mix with sing-song lyrics that eventually give way to a deeper sort of sound. The cut's got a really playful, almost poppy sort of style – but one that's never that commercial either. (White label promo. Label has an ink stamp.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
