La Cosa Comica (aka La Cosa Buffa)

LP (Item 504178) Cinevox (Spain), 1973 — Condition: New Copy

An incredible soundtrack from Ennio Morricone – light, dreamy, and one of his loveliest ever! The whole thing grooves along with that floating feel that's best been captured by the Mondo Morricone series – a spare use of strings alongside lightly tripping rhythms, often augmented by wordless vocals from the great Edda Dell'Orso – moving along with an impossibly dreamy sort of feel! The whole thing's tremendous, with a sound that easily puts it up there as one of our favorite Morricone soundtracks ever – and which never ceases to delight as the set moves through a huge range of tracks that includes many unreleased numbers! Titles include "La Cosa Buffa", "Esercizio Con Marika", "Strani Pensieri", "Ritorno A Casa", "Gocce Di Pioggia", and "Indecisione Con Maria" – although for this Spanish pressing, the titles are somewhat differently listed.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
