CD (Item 587424) Elektra/Rhino Handmade/Light In The Attic, Late 60s — Condition: New Copy

An exceptional, ambitious early release from the tragic, one-of-a-kind singer & explorer Tim Buckley – done with a really unique sound that mixes late 60s folk rock with some subtly jazzy overtones! The record features beautiful string arrangements from the legendary Jack Nitzsche, and some beautiful work on piano, harpsichord, and celeste by Van Dyke Parks! But Buckley's the main star of the set – crooning beautifully with his sad-tinged voice, on wonderful tracks that include "Wings", "Aren't You the Girl", "She Is", and "Understand Your Man". This incredible expanded edition comes courtesy of Rhino Handmade – with beautiful, cardboard folio packaging that includes rare photos – with the complete album in both the stereo and mono versions – plus wealth of bonus demos and rare tracks. Those include 12 tracks he recorded in 1965 with his group The Bohemians, plus some great demo tracks cut shortly before the sessions that resulted in the album. Bonus tracks include early versions of "She Is" and "It Happens Every Time", "Put You Down", "Come On Over", "Call Me If You Do", "No More", "Found At The Scene Of A Rendezvous That Failed", home-recorded versions of "Aren’t You The Girl", "Wings", "Song Slowly Song" and more.
