As great of a later set as we've heard from the lovely Susana Baca – lovely, passionate and wonderful singing from Susana – whose voice, we must say, is not just "holding up", it's still straight up beautiful – backed with warm, acoustic strings, percussion and backing vocals. Afrodiaspora is intended as a journey through eras and traditions and it succeeds wonderfully. She also handled the arrangements, giving the set that much more of a personal, intimate feel.
