It Only Happens When I Look At You/Because Of You

7-inch (Item 614427) Go Ahead (UK), Early 70s — Condition: New Copy

A great later groove from Jackie Wilson – a tune that percolates nicely with this riffing guitar underneath the rhythm – pushing Jackie's vocals into a whole new territory! The tune's not a funky number, but has a really different feel than Wilson's better-known work of the 60s – with some great soaring arrangements in the back! And speaking of soaring, "Because Of You" has that proud, righteous approach that Jackie perfected in Chicago – a great groove with Carl Davis production!  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
