CD (Item 614988) Beat (Italy), 1979 — Condition: New Copy

A great later score from Riz Ortolani – and one that shows off the best talents for reaching out to time and place he developed in the 60s! The film's a WWII narrative – but Ortolani's music is often a lot more than you'd expect – occasionally scene-setting in its construction, yet with a more modern filmic aspect that carries a feel that's almost more epic than the images on the screen! The gentle theme is especially haunting – with some nice sensual overtones – and titles include "From Hell To Victory", "Accounts To Render", "Paris 1945", "Fabienne Theme", "Nicole Theme", "Hearts In Suspense", and "Toward The Victory".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
