CD (Item 487207) Micro Werks, Late 60s — Condition: New Copy

East LA garage rock, psych groove and rugged r&b combo Thee Midniters in toto – the early albums, singles, rarities and previously unreleased cuts – collected in the excellent 4 CD box set from Microwerks! Unlike so many combos of the era, be they west coast peers or likeminded groups the world over, Thee Midniters were pulled off a number of distinct styles – organ driven garage, hard soul/r&b, looser, slow dance ready ballads and groovy instrumentals – doing it all very well and with a unique East LA vibe. The early albums Thee Midniters Whittier Blvd, Thee Midniters Bring You Love Special Delivery, Unlimited and the compilation Giants each come in a gatefold style sleeve with the original artwork and each disc includes a number of bonus tracks, some never before released! 69 tracks in all! Titles include "Whittier Blvd", "That's All", "Come Back Baby", "Land Of 1000 Dances", "Love Special Delivery", "Soul And Inspiration", "Thee Midnite Feeling", "Everybody Need Somebody To Love", "Cheatin Woman", "Welcome Home Darling", "Dreaming Casually", "Goin Out Of My Head", "Brother Where Are You" and many more!  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
