CD (Item 483664) Irma (Italy), 2009 — Condition: New Copy
Lots of heavy keyboards here – Fender Rhodes, Hammond, and a bit of synth too – all handled by the mighty Paolo Apollo Negri, with a range of sounds that's different than some of his other work! The "orchestra" here is really just Negri and beatmaker Dave Masoch, who also plays guitar as well – and the pair come together wonderfully in a set of tight grooves that run the gamut from deep funk to spare, spacier numbers. There's some guest instrumentation in the mix too – a bit of flute, moog, guitar, and trumpet – but the keyboards are clearly in the lead on most numbers, stretching out on cuts that include "Groovy Motion", "The Original Sound", "Four Channel Sound", "Sounds Idea", "Value For Money", "The Project (parts 1 & 2)", and "Ground Noise". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
