LP (Item 617222) Arhoolie, 1967 — Condition: New Copy

A late 60s recording by Lightning Hopkins – but one of his rootsiest of the decade, thanks to the gritty production of the Arhoolie label! There's a really personal, intimate feel to the record – almost as if the label just set up in Hopkins' living room while he was running through a few songs – which, at some level, is exactly what they did – and which is what makes the record so great! The mode really makes the album a standout in Hopkins' large catalog – and titles include "Slavery", "Take A Walk", "Tom Moore Blues", "Watch My Fingers", and "Love Is Like A Hydrant". (Super-heavy pressing – just like an original – and with a bonus download card too!)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
