A wonderful album – one of the group's best! The album was a "comeback" effort – but it's still got stone Philly production from Norman Harris, with a sound that's right up their with their best Atco sides from the mid 70s. In fact, the harmonies are even better than before, if we do say so ourselves – and the album's proof that sublime harmony soul recordings were still being produced in the 80s! Titles include "The Oscar", "Feelin The Love", "Let There Be Love", "Standin' On the Edge of a Love Affair", "Who Could Ever Leave You", "Land of Make Believe", and "Welcome Back".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

The tunes have a mix of bassy funk and clubby rhythms – that sweet 80s groove style that nobody seemed to do better than ... LP, Vinyl record album

Stax, 1971. Very Good-
One of the greatest albums ever from Booker T & The MGs – and very different than their early work! The record has Book & Co taking off with a stretched-out jazzy sound – carving expanded grooves that are filled with sweet organ solos, choppy guitar riffs, and some incredibly ...
