Filters, Oscillators & Envelopes 1967 to 1975
LP (Item 606815) Sub Rosa (Belgium), 1967/1975 — Condition: New Copy
Weird and wild sounds from Don Preston – an artist you might know for his keyboard work in the Mothers Of Invention – but who here steps out as more of an avant garde electronic musician! The whole first side of the record features an extended piece – "Electronic" – recorded solo by Preston in 1967, live, without any studio effects – but using electronic elements to create an insanely rich palette of sounds! The approach is right up there with the best of the more serious electronic composers of the time – and Preston's vision is furthered even more strongly on the flipside, which features shorter "Analog Heaven" tracks recorded in 1975 – even noisier and more mindblowing! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
