Out Of Stock

LP, Vinyl record album

4.70 11

James Brown plays organ on this one, but it's mostly an effort to showcase various other artists that he was producing at the time, and who traveled with him on the road. Includes cuts by Baby Lloyd, The Jewels, James Crawford, and a young Vicki Anderson. This stuff was cut years before the People label was formed, but it's the same sort of effort by James Brown. And he and Nat Jones arranged most of the stuff. Song titles include "Strung Out" by James Crawford, "Stop And Think It Over" by James Crawford, "This Is My Story" by the Jewels and "Nowhere To Run" by Vicki Anderson. (Red label stereo pressing. Cover has some marker on back.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Loving Is Living
Portrait, 1978. Very Good+
The first secular album by The McCrarys – the start of a great run for this group who started in gospel, then really blossomed even more strongly in soul music! The record's got an endorsement from Stevie Wonder, who also plays harmonica and does a small bit of vocalizing – but the ... LP, Vinyl record album
