Rastafari Liveth Itinually
CD (Item 65955) DIP/Justice League (UK), Mid/Late 70s — Condition: New Copy
Classic Black Ark soul sides served up here with their funky Upsetters versions! Scratch is fully in his element here, a showcase of jaunty rolling island grooves. It's perhaps not his best known work, but like so much of what he cooked up at the Black Ark, totally essential, from the organ driven rhythm of Juks Dread & Big Youth's "23rd Psalm", to the murky, soulful "Ethiopian Land", to the Upsetter's chugging groove under "Well Judged Dub", voiced as "Judgement Day" by Clive Hilton. Also includes Mystic's "Forward With Jah Orthodox", The Bluebells "Come Along", Watty & Tony's "Rise & Shine" and more. 17 tracks on this CD edition. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
