7-inch (Item 609796) Peoples Potential, Early 80s — Condition: New Copy

A wicked groove from Cyril Walker – a tune that's got some mighty sweet keyboards grooving right over the basslines, and a vocal-based hook that just won't quit! The cut's very much on the warmer side of the 80s club spectrum – and is a great reminder that in the right sectors, there was still some deeply soulful work coming out on small labels! "So Proud" has beats that are a bit heavier, and a slight electro soul approach – but Cyril still keeps things nice and soulful throughout, especially on the keyboards and vocals – which feature a bit of help from Mile High Pie!  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
