United, Our Thing Will Stand – Piano & Hammond Organ Performances Live At Tipitina's 1976
CD (Item 607045) Night Train International, 1976 — Condition: New Copy
Rare New Orleans music from the vaults – a set of live work recorded at the legendary Tipitina's nightclub – featuring James Booker on both Hammond and piano! The mix of organ and acoustic keys here is great – and really serves not only to flesh out our understanding of music, but also illuminate the less-recorded organ-based side of his sound! Some tunes are nice and relaxed – taken in the spirit of the small club performance – and the vocals are nice and raw and raspy – perfect for the rhythms. Titles include "Wandering", "Cone On To My House/123", "So Swell When You're Well", "Goin Down Slow", "Jam For Poops", "Baby Face", "It Depends", "People Get Ready", and "Let's Make A Better World". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
