CD (Item 606099) Mercury/Soulmusic.com (UK), 1977 — Condition: New Copy

Brilliant 70s work by The Dells – and an album that has the group reinventing themselves wonderfully, by moving over to Philly and recording with Norman Harris! As he did with so many other artists at the time, Harris took the group firmly into the clubs with a soaring Sigma sort of groove – one that supports the group with backings from players that include key Philly talents like Bobby Eli, Ron Kersey, Larry Washington, and Earl Young – but which also keeps plenty of space for the sublime harmonies that always made The Dells so great! Titles include "Teaser", "Our Love", "Could It Be", "Rich Man Poor Man", "Waiting For You", "Get On Down", and "Betcha Never Been Loved". CD features bonus tracks – US single edits of "Our Love", "Betcha Never Been Loved Like This Before", and "Could It Be".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
